Used imported cars

The previous government passed a law a few years ago that used cars could be imported if they were only four years old or less. Even though many Japanese old, used cars are much better than other cheap new cars. Ours is a poor country but the law doesn't give a picture of that! I live in Perth, Western Australia, and haven't seen a single car dealer who sells only new cars.The previous finance minister passed the law to give monopoly business to some of his political colleagues. I sincerely believe that the present government can change the law and make a new law for used imported cars.
