K Mosharraf's wife owns house in Kent

Detained former health minister Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain yesterday submitted his wealth statement to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), saying that he owns immovable property worth about Tk 67.24 lakh while his wife's immovable property is valued at Tk 6.42 crore.In the statement submitted to the ACC through the jail authorities, Mosharraf also said the total value of his movable property is about Tk 2.28 crore and that of his wife is Tk 6.05 crore. The immovable assets of Mosharraf's wife include a house at Fornborough Kent in London valued about Tk 2.87 crore, it said. Besides, Mosharraf said his two sons--Khandakar Mahbub Hossain and Khandakar Maruf Hossain--have total immovable assets of about Tk 36.79 lakh and 30.31 lakh respectively. The assets of Mosharraf include a building on one-acre land at daudkandi, a three-storied building at Gulshan in Dhaka, agriculture land in different areas in Comilla, land at Kashimpur in Gazipur and spaces for two graves at Daudkandi Central Graveyard. The assets of his wife Bilkis Akhter include a 1,000-sft flat and two multi-storied buildings at Gulshan and a five-storied building at Mohammadpur Pisciculture Cooperative Society; agriculture lands in different areas of Daudkandi upazila and spaces for two graves at Daudkandi Central Graveyard. The property of Khandakar Mahbub, eldest son of Mosharraf, includes lands in different areas of Daudkandi upazila, Mirpur in Dhaka, 1.34 acre land at Bhabanipur in Joydebpur and a piece of land in Segunbagicha in Dhaka. His youngest son Khandakar Maruf owns agriculture lands in different areas in Doudkandi upazila, 1.34-acre land in Bhabanipur in Joydebur and a building on an area of 10-decimal at Dhaudkandi.
