"Jononi Shahoshika": A tribute to Sufia Kamal on channel i

Channel i will air a special programme titled Jononi Shahoshika on poet Begum Sufia Kamal on her birth anniversary on June 20 at 4:30pm. In the programme Sufia Kamal's contribution to the movement for ensuring women's rights and her achievements in literature will be highlighted. The poet's daughter, human rights activist Sultana Kamal; general secretary of Bangladesh Mahila Parisad, Ayesha Khanom; artistes Shimul Yousouff, Shomi Kaiser and Sharmin Lucky will participate in the programme. A documentary on Sufia Kamal's life and recitation of her poems will also be featured in the programme. Poet Asad Chowdhury will host the programme directed by Raju Alim.
