Announcing the budget yesterday acting mayor Rezaunnabi Dudu said no new tax has been imposed.

In the proposed budget, Tk 26,49, 55, 917 has been shown as revenue income, Tk 28,50,00,000 as development grant and Tk 84,52,20,000 as project grant.

The expenditures include Tk 25,97,69,478 for salaries and other organisational purposes, Tk 5 crore for digital city project, Tk 3 crore for boosting small and medium industries, and Tk 30 crore for flood control.

The budget, however, did not show any allocation for controlling mosquito menace, one of the major problems of the city, sources said.

The mayor also announced a revised budget of Tk 81.19 crore for last financial year.
