NGO worker shot, robbed of Tk 20000

Some armed muggers took away Tk 20,000 from an NGO worker after shooting him at Jatrabari in the city yesterday. The victim was identified as Dildar Hossain, 26, a field worker of savings project of Palli Mangal Karmashuchi. Sources said Dildar went to Sheikhdi area at Jatrabari to collect money from the project members at around 1:00pm. While he was collecting money, three snatchers all on a sudden fired on Dildar's head and leg, leaving him injured and fled the scene with the money. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he was undergoing treatment while filing of this report.
