He expressed his confidence that Bangladesh would find a close friend in the new British leader.

The head of the caretaker government termed bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the UK excellent, saying that it has been expanded over the years in many areas, including trade, investment and culture.

He hoped that the existing friendly relations between the two countries would be further strengthened during his tenure as British premier.
