Baby burnt alive in Khulna

A one-year-old baby was burnt alive in a fire at Haji Mohsin Road in Khulna Sadar on Wednesday.The victim was identified as Siam Munshi, son of Nurul Islam Munshi, a tea stall owner. Witnesses said the fire broke out at around 10:15pm from a lamp at Nurul's thatched house. Nurul and his wife were out of the house while their three children were sleeping when the fire broke out. Locals could save Hasan, 9, and Nasrin, 6, but they failed to rescue Siam. Fire fighters extinguished the fire at about 10:45pm.
