Hoarded rice seized, 1 held

Detective branch of Khulna Metropolitan Police recovered 6,228 kilograms of rice allocated for 'Food-for-Works Programme' from Khan Brothers at Barho Bazar in the district and arrested its proprietor yesterday noon.The arrestee was identified as Masud Parvez. The rice was allocated for implementation of some small projects at Paikgachha in the district. Masud was being interrogated at DB office till filing of this report.
