Tk 67.76 cr CU budget to be placed today

The Tk 67.76 crore budget of Chittagong University (CU) would be placed at the annual Senate meeting today. The meeting would be held at the conference room of Academic Building at 3:00pm with CU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr M Badiul Alam in the chair. Earlier, CU Finance Committee and Syndicate at the 43rd joint meeting on June 18 approved the budget with a deficit of Tk 2.65 crore for 2007-08 fiscal. Tk 59.61 crore of the proposed budget will be provided by the government while the rest Tk 5.50 crore will be generated from the internal resources of the university. A revised budget of Tk 64.72 crore for the financial year 2006-2007 would also be placed at the meeting.
