The story revolves around Sajed. Sajed loves a girl but she does not reciprocate. The story takes a dramatic turn when the object of Sajed's affection dies in an accident. The tragedy makes a serious impact on Sajed and he sets out on a journey through the country. One day while walking through the woods, Sajed comes across an image of a flying woman carved on terracotta. Every night the image comes to life and keeps him company. Sajed's "Pratnonari" remains very much "real" to him but people around him start questioning his sanity.

Pratnonari is written by Selim Al Deen and directed by Shahiduzzaman Selim and Rafi Hossain. Director Shahiduzzaman Selim said that the making of Pratnonari is quite different from other TV serials. For one, the protagonists in the play introduce themselves.

Masud Ali Khan, Dilara Zaman, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Rosey Siddiqui, Sumaiya Shimu, Farah Ruma, Chandan and Shovon play the key roles.
