The Czech Republic's Under-20 footballers will earn a share of 142,000 euros (196,000 dollars) in bonus money should they win the world title in Canada, the country's football federation said on Thursday. The Czechs, who beat Austria 2-0 in Wednesday's semifinals, will face either Argentina or Chile in Sunday's final. "It's with great joy that we will reward our players because they have boosted our prestige," said Czech football federation spokesman Vaclav Tichy. If the Czechs finish as runners-up, they will share a pool of 71,000 euros.
