Dhaka eves finish third

Dhaka clinched third place in the BASIC Bank 18th National Women's Handball Championship when they defeated Faridpur 16-8 in yesterday's play-off at the Dhanmondi Women's Sports Complex.Dhaka, who won the opening match of the competition against the same side, led 8-3 at the break. Akherunnessa shot eight goals for the winners while Jolly two for Faridpur. The final between BJMC and Ansars will be held today at the same venue at 3 pm.
