Commodore Mustafiz promoted to Rear Admiral
Commodore Mustafizur Rahman was promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral yesterday, says an ISPR release.

Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam adorned him with the badges of rank of Rear Admiral in presence of senior naval officers at Naval Headquarters.

Rear Admiral Mustafizur Rahman has also been appointed Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) the same day.

He was commissioned in Bangladesh Navy in July 1976. Later, he received training in the USA, China, India and the UK.

During his long career, Rear Admiral Mustafiz commanded different types of ships and establishments. He also commanded the most modern Frigate BNS Osman successfully.
