The arrestee was identified as Shamjedul Islam alias Sham, son of Mozaffar Hossain of Akkelpur village in Joypurhat district and a 4th year student of RU Library and Information Science department.

Sham was involved in terrorism, mugging and other criminal activities, alleged Motiher police.
