Chinese military team leaves Dhaka


The 12-member Chinese military delegation led by General Chen Bingde left Dhaka yesterday after a four-day goodwill visit to Bangladesh.

Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam saw off the delegation at Zia International Airport.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Zheng Qing Dian was also present at the airport, said a press release of ISPR.

During their stay in Bangladesh, the delegation paid courtesy call on President and Supreme Commander of Bangladesh Armed Forces Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban.

They also called on Chief of Army Staff General Moeen U Ahmed, Navy Chief Vice- Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal S M Ziaur Rahman at their respective services' headquarters and Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division Lieutenant General Masud Uddin Chowdhury at the AFD.

Besides, the delegation visited Rajendrapur Central Workshop and Bangladesh Ordnance Factory at Gazipur.
