Woman dies as windowpane falls on her

A woman passer-by was killed and her two-year-old daughter seriously injured when a windowpane from a garment factory fell on them at Kamalapur in the city yesterday.The dead was identified as Kulsum Begum, 22, and the injured her daughter Suchona. Locals said the windowpane of sixth floor of Khalil Garment Factory fell on Kulsum, who was holding Suchona in her arms, when she was carrying lunch for her sister at around 1:00pm at the factory at Kamalapur. Locals rushed them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared Kulsum dead.
