German Film Week at Goethe Institut begins

A five-day film screening session titled "German Film Week" with the slogan 'enjoy a diverse and versatile mix of the recent-release German films' began yesterday at the Goethe Institut. The festival, featuring films by the German contemporary filmmakers, continues from August 12 to August 16. The film festival is jointly organised by Goethe-Institut Bangladesh and the Chalachitram Film Society.Officials of Goethe Institut informed, "The seventeen films featured during the German Film Week are produced in the years 2001 to 2005 and display interest in new thematic and stylistic trends in German cinema. It is a diverse collection dealing with a wide variety of subject matter revealing an insight into contemporary German cinema."
