Top criminal arrested at Fatikchhari

Omar Faruq alias Kala Faruq, a top-notch criminal of Fatikchhari upazila was arrested in the port city yesterday.The arrestee is the son of Md Yusuf of Azimpur of Sundarpur union under Fatikchhari upazila. Kala Faruq, 32, was allegedly accused in 15 cases including murder and abduction at Fatikchhari and Kotowali Police Stations. A team of Kotowali Police Station led by Sub Inspector (SI) Akram nabbed Kala Faruq from city's Laldighi area at 1:00 pm, sources said. He was the deputy of Didar, another top-notch terrorist who is now absconding in the Middle East, they added.
