2 criminals held with hashish

Detective police arrested three 'listed criminals' from in front of the main gate of Khulna district jail Saturday evening and recovered one and a half kiloghrams of hashish from their possession.The arrestees are Saiful Sarder, 22, Zillur Bhuiyan, 38, of Rupsha upazila and Dulal Shaikh, 30 of Morrelganj upazila in Bagerhat. All of them were linked with an underground organisation and now on bail in several criminal cases including murders, said Khulna Police Superintendent Moinul Hossain. They were handed over to Khulna thana police after interrogation at the district DB office. Jailer of Khulna District Jail, Anowarul Islam, said yesterday that the arrested criminals were trying to supply hashish inside the jail through a convicted prisoner (No. 1303) named Rabiul. The hashish was recovered from a soap box hidden in the tiffin carrier, said SI Obaidual Huq who arrested the criminals.
