Bashar to go to Bangkok for check up

National cricket captain Habibul Bashar is expected to go to Bangkok to have further check up for his injured fifth metacarpal of the left hand.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board is taking the initiative to send Bashar to confirm that he does suffer further trouble.

Earlier it was reported in the media that he is going for further treatment, which is not the fact.

Bashar will fly for the Thailand capital within a couple of days. He picked up the injury during Bangladesh's second one-day international in the five-match series against Zimbabwe in Harare last month. He was flown back home during the fourth match, which Zimbabwe won to clinch the series. Bangladesh recorded a consolation victory in the finale to reduce the margin to 3-2.

Tushar Imran has been called in place of Bashar for the three-match series in Kenya, which starts tomorrow.
