NORTHERN University Bangladesh (NUB) has brought in a new opportunity for LLB (Hons) students in the country through UK-based Nottingham Trent University (NTU) that already launched the (Hons) degree in Bangladesh.
Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) and the British NTU recently signed an agreement for collaboration in terms of offering LLB (Hons) degree in UK.
Under the collaboration, the NUB would offer a three-year LLB (Hons) degree leading to one-year Bar-at-Law qualification in the United Kingdom (UK). At any stage students may transfer his/her credit from Bangladesh to UK to continue their studies at the Nottingham Trent University.
Students under this programme would be treated as jointly NUB and NTU student. Students in Bangladesh would get the same study materials (free of cost) from Nottingham and they would also have NTU identity.
It is a great opportunity for Bangladeshi students who would like to have a certificate accepted all over the world at a much lower cost.
The NUB authorities are going to introduce a three-year full-time British LLB (Hons) course in Bangladesh. The university's joint collaboration programme with the NTU has brought this unique opportunity for a Bangladeshi student to complete LLB (Hons) degree with all the facilities of a Nottingham Trent University UK student.
The programme would be delivered at the Northern University and examinations would also be held at the NUB. Unlike other British LLB programmes currently offered in Bangladesh, the British university's degree is a full-time programme in Bangladesh, the enrolled students at NUB and NTU will get full support from both the universities. Nottingham Trent University's faculties would pay regular visits to the Northern University. This programme is fully recognised by Bar Council and Law Society of England and Wales.
The LLB full-time honours degree on Law is designed for students who wish to study law modules which will prvoide a sound preparation for the world of work.
The degree is recognised by the Law Society and the General Council of the Bar as a qualifying Law degree for professioanl purposes, enabling the student to proceed to further training, such as the Legal Practice Course (LPC) for intending solicitors, or the Bar Vocational Course (BVC) for intending barristers.
The students will get certificate of Nottingham Trent University after successful completion of the course in Bangladesh. After achieving upper second class, the NUB student will get direct offer in Barrister-at-Law Course in Nottingham Trent University, UK.
