JOB-ICT and Jiplerz for ICT employment
Nazia Ahmed
The first Impression is what counts. It's something that might shape your future, so when it comes to finding the right job and making the “right impression,” we find ourselves in a pickle. Now remember, you will only have one opportunity to make a good first impression. Very recently, different agencies are taking the initiatives to enlighten the potential jobseekers, undergrads, graduates etc., to help them out with their career planning and recruiting them in companies, who are in turn getting the benefit of being able to run through a smooth recruitment process that used to require a lot of complicated and troublesome course of actions in the past. Lets hear it from some of the jobseekers on their outlook:
“As a non-IT person, these are the things that come to my mind: An undergraduate Degree from a good university, Work Experience, Professional Attitude, Reference (from uncles/aunts, etc.),” Says Naureen Quayum.
“Being from an IT background, the most important things to have are: A good portfolio of all your work, and the ability to keep up with the changing technological needs of the industry.” Says Loban Rahman.
JIPLerz.com is a community job portal created by JOBS-ICT Private Limited (www.jobs-ict.com), dedicated to ICT jobseekers. You can seek professional advice to prepare for your ICT career and access the hottest jobs in this very competitive industry.
An internship can give a student the perfect scope to explore his/her hidden talents. You can seek an internship position, ideal for gaining real-life experience and a chance to get your foot towards the door that opens the professional world.
The ICT sector is ultra-competitive where you are competing with thousands of graduates entering the job world every year. If you are looking to grab an ideal job, just having an IT degree may not be enough. Your probable employer would be looking at important personal qualities such as professionalism, confidence, and communication skills. The practical workshops held in JOBS-ICT will help enhance your soft skills as promised. Such trainings in turn help you gain that competitive edge in the job market.
What is required for career counseling is making an appointment for a one-to-one counseling with their experts, who can help you define your ideal career path and make it a reality.
A success story
Nazmul Karim graduated from Shah Jalal University of Science & Technology (SUST) in 2000 with a degree in Mathematics. While there, he underwent CCNA training, and he received CCNA certification in 2005. Nazmul responded quickly when JOB-ICT began contacting CCNA students around the country. He sent them his resume, and they shortly asked him to meet with them so his talents could be assessed. They believed he stood out from the crowd and recommended him for employment at TechValley. TechValley agreed with their recommendations, and Nazmul soon began working for them as a Shift Engineer
