"Durga Puja”

Durga Puja, an annual ritual ceremony, celebrating the worship of the Hindu goddess Durga. This festival symbolized our rich cultural heritage. Durga Puja is much more a social festival than a purely religious event. It is celebrated as a carnival where people from all classes & all communities are united to rejoice together. Bangladesh has an ancient tradition of celebrating Durga Puja, according to hindu mythology it symbolizes power and the triumph of good over evil. Its celebration is witnessed in almost all the major cities of the world by Bengali Hindus. It is observed along to six days as Mahalaya, Shashthi, Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami, Maha Nabami and Bijoya Dashami. Like other festivals in the country of other religions, it is an occasion for festivities which is observed on a grand scale, which ultimately emanates a genuine feeling of bonhomie and warmth.
