Annual prize giving ceremony @ CGHS

WITH great enthusiasm and encouragement, the annual prize giving ceremony of Chittagong Government High School took place on the school premises on March 30, 2009. It was a highly auspicious occasion arranged by the school management committee.

All the guests were present in time so that the program could begin without any difficulty. The chief guest was Monwara Begum, Deputy Manager, Secondary and Higher Education, Chittagong. The Headmistress of Chittagong Govt. High School, Mahbuba Begum was present as the president of the function. Besides the headmasters and headmistresses of Chittagong Collegiate School, Dr. Khastagir Govt. Girls' High School, and Nasirabad Govt. Boys' High School were invited as special guests.

The function started off with a recitation from the Holy Quran. Tahseen Mahmood and Nur Anas Abir, students of class X, hosted the program. After the recitation from the holy Quran, the Guests were greeted with red roses. Then the president of the ceremony, Mahbuba Begum delivered a speech welcoming the guests, students and guardians. On behalf of the teachers of CGHS, Shafiqur Rahaman, gave out an oratory describing the present conditions of our school. Nazmus Saakib, student of class X, delivered his speech on behalf of the students of school.

At last the chief guest, Monwara Begum came to give her speech. She advised the teachers, students and guardians of CGHS to improve the results and the school conditions. After her speech, prizes were distributed among the students who stood first, second and third.
