AND beautiful it was when the Star Campus team celebrated its 3rd anniversary with the ailing children from Dhaka Shishu Hospital. With the aim to spread the love and support that Star Campus has received over the last three years, we took the initiative to celebrate this milestone by organising a programme for the children to entertain our young friends and salute the paediatric wards of the Dhaka Shishu Hospital.

The programme began as we greeted around 30 children from different wards and escorted them to the auditorium. Amazed by the atmosphere the children were eager to know why we were there. After we explained them our presence, we played an animation film Ratatouille. Followed by the animation film, the children were asked to gather on the stage where they began to introduce themselves. They were given balloons and balls to play with. Some of them even recited wonderful poems and songs.

The doctors and nurses at the hospital were very appreciative of this initiative taken by Star Campus/ The Daily Star. The programme ended as Prof A R Khan, Director of Dhaka Shishu Hospital distributed gifts among the children. Overall the event was fruitful and the children enjoyed every moment of the programme. We left the place with Prof A R Khan's words ringing in our ears … 'any good work, especially during the holy month of Ramadan brings more blessings.'
