CU Cricket-team in Malaysia

THE University of Chittagong (CU) Cricket-team attended the 2nd Asian Inter- Varsity Cricket Invitational 2009 held in Bangi, Malaysia and obtained second place in the event. University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), also known as the National University of Malaysia was the host.

Four team namely University Kebangsaan Malaysia; Christ University, Bangalore, India; University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and CU from Bangladesh took part in this Inter-varsity Championship from December 1-6, 2009. In the final CU team lost to the host by 8 wickets.

IUBAT demonstrates academic brilliance

THE Bachelor Degree aspirants of IUBAT-International University of Business Agriculture and Technology demonstrated academic brilliance and professional skill by delivering presentation in Practicum Defense. Examination before the panel of examiners as a part of extensive curricula designed in line with global changes.

Prudent evaluation of academic in-depth of the internees are measured in such defense examination before conferring the degrees. Each candidate is allowed 30 minutes for presentation followed by 15 minutes question-answer session ended with placing the synopsis of core concept of the assigned project work by the presenter.

The program was attended among others by Prof. Mahmuda Khanum, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Chairs, Coordinators and faculty members, students, alumni, representatives of practicum organizations and designated faculty to evaluate the standard. Engr Abdul Wadud, Coordinator, Mechanical Engineering moderated the program.

Prof Dr M Alimullah Miyan, Vice Chancellor of IUBAT chairing three days practical defense program emphasized the importance of practical application of academic knowledge and ability exposed through command over language.
