the spirit of ekushey

In spirit of 21st February, Aarong has launched an Ekushey collection captivating the essence of our linguistic and cultural revolution. Bangla letters, patriotic sonnets and poetry in black, white, ivory, red and brown tones are translated into beautiful Saris, Kameezes and Punjabis. The ensemble consists of cotton and handloom fabrics, tangail taat and jamdani saris with appliquéd, hand embroidered, block and screen-printed designs. Each design is a timeless creation capturing the pride of the International Mother Language Day.

In fact not only Aarong, almost all the boutiques in town are caught up in the spring fever. Prabartana has launched their new line exclusively celebrating February. Throughout the month, spring, Valentine's day, and Ekushey, all in their varied rich colour are on display and for sale in Prabartana, the chic store.
