Lime

Lime is a very common citrus fruit available easily in the market. It is known to be very useful in many ways ranging from a skincare product to health food.

Lime is rich in potassium, vitamins, calcium, magnesium and many more nutrients. Lime juice is widely used for various cooking purposes. The juice helps to reduce fat in the body. It also helps to improve skin with its vitamin content. Also, lime reduces excessive oil secretion of the skin. Lime rind is very useful for hardening soft nails that break easily. A mixture of honey and lime juice can help to soothe a sore throat as well as improve health.

Lime also happens to be a very useful beauty care product. Let's discuss some ways to use lime juice for beautification.

To remove freckles, blanch and grind 2 almonds. Then mix the paste with an egg white and half a teaspoon of lime juice. Spread on face and leave till skin feels dry. Then first rinse with warm water, then with cold water.

Mix half a teaspoon of lime juice with one teaspoon of cucumber juice and a few drops of rose water. Apply on the face and neck then leave on for 15 minutes and remove with water. This will help to improve a dull and greasy complexion.

If you have very oily skin mix lime juice with iced water then splash on face, massage for 5 minutes and then wash off.

So we can see that lime is not only a good source of nutrients, but also a good ingredient for beautification.
