Bangladesh Police Service Association has formed its new executive committee for 2008 with Nabo Bikram Kishore Tripura, additional IGP (admin), Police Headquarters, and Mahbubur Rahman, superintendent of police, Dhaka, as president and general secretary respectively.
The committee was formed at the annual general meeting of the association on January 10.
Other office-bearers are Vice-Presidents -- Baharul Alam, additional IGP, SB, and Syed Shahzaman Raj, DIG (admin); Treasurer -- Firoz Al Mujahid Khan, AIG (telecom); Joint Secretaries -- Golam Rasul SS, City SB, Dhaka; Ahsan Habib Palash, DC (supply) DMP; and Rezaul Karim, AIG (admin), Police Headquarters; Organising Secretary -- Atiqul Islam, DC (Ramna) DMP; Assistant Organising Secretary -- Shamsun Nahar, ADC, DMP; Cultural Secretary -- Rakhfar Sultana Khanam, additional SP, SB; Public Relations Secretary -- Mahbubur Rahman, ADC (Ramna) DMP; Sports Secretary -- Mizanur Rahman, Commandant, RRF, Barisal; Office Secretary -- Rezaul Haider, additional SP (SCO), SB, and Assistant Office Secretary -- Masudur Rahman, (AC Force), DMP.
