Twelfth December 2012 -- a trio of 12s -- makes the day significant on the pages of calendars. Many have made special plans to make the occasion more memorable. The gorgeous and popular model-actress Mojeja Ashraf Monalisa is one of those people, as she had chosen this date to tie the wedding knot.
Asked why she picked the date, Monalisa smiles and says, “The date is special. Such a date (12.12.12) will never come again in my lifetime. Wedding is a memorable event in anyone's life. So we chose this date to make the occasion a bit more special.”
She said that the wedding is being arranged with blessings from her whole family, adding that her own preferences were also taken into account.
Asked about her intimate thoughts on the occasion, Monalisa says, “The feelings are completely different. A girl waits for this special day all her life. I feel very happy.”
Although the wedding is set to take place today, the Gaye Holud was held yesterday with plenty of celebrations. Monalisa will visit Persona for her special makeover for the wedding. Monalisa -- who will wear a traditional red and gold sari today -- said, “Although I have visited Persona many times before, the wedding make up will be completely different.”
Monalisa also asked for blessings from everyone for the new chapter of her life. The wedding event will take place at the Army Golf Club, with family members, relatives and media personalities among the guest list. The groom -- Faiyaaz -- is a non-resident Bangladeshi, currently living in the US. After the wedding, Monalisa will travel to Narayanganj, her husband's home.
