After two years, we have learned that to make democracy work, we must believe in it, we must nurture it, we must cherish it, and we must protect it. As a nation we now stand at the threshold of something extraordinary. We stand at that rare moment in time when we are on the verge of stepping forward into the promise of a bright new day. We hope that as a nation we do not miss this opportunity and that we are equal to the challenge. We might never be at this moment of opportunity again and never again have such a chance to start our national journey anew.
