Tips1: Run suspicious programs
Although there is no alternative to install utilities such as antivirus, spy ware, personal firewall to protect the malicious programs we encounter everyday. But you can also use a built in feature of Windows XP to run any suspicious program. Follow the steps…

Right click the program icon
Select Run As option
In the Run As dialog box, select Current user and make sure that the option “Protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity” checked
Then click Ok

Running in this mode, the program is able to read Registry setting, but cannot alter them. This is a setback for some useful applications to work properly.

Insert a new floppy disk in your floppy drive
Go to My Computer
Right click the floppy drive
Select Format
From “Format 31/2 Floppy (A :)” dialog box select “Create an MS-DOS startup disk”
Then click Start
After creating the boot disk copy the files “BOOT.INI”, “NTDETECT.COM”, “NTLDR” to your floppy disk.

Select Properties
Select Screen Saver tab
Under “Monitor power” section click Power button
Under “Power schemes” section selects “Home/Office Desk power scheme”
