Education System
The Education system of University of Melbourne run according to the semester system. The academic year starts in the month of February. There are mainly two semesters. But there is also an interval summer semester. The Summer semester starts in January and finishes in February. The second semester is from July to October. The length of study for most undergraduate departments is four years. Master's course lasts for two years. Normally Doctorate course lasts for three to four years.
Application process and minimum requirements

As Bangladeshi students need student visa to go to Australia they should start the primary application process 2-3 months in advance.
Students wishing to enter undergraduate programs must have completed 12 years of schooling (HSC equivalent). Students must have completed 16 years of school education and graduated from a 1-year university or be recognized as having academic ability to enter Master's course.
Language requirement.
English is the language of instruction at university of Melbourne. Proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing are essential. Requirement for IELTS score vary from program to program.

Tuition fees
Students enrolling in the University of Melbourne pay tuition fees based on the subject they choose to study. International student fees vary from 17,850 AUD to 47,850 AUD per 100 credit points (IEFTSL). 100 credit points represent standard annual full-time course load.
Scholarship or financial aid.
Scholarships are available for international students. Some of these scholarships are Commonwealth Learning Scholarships, Melbourne Honours Scholarships, Travelling Scholarship and External Scholarships. University of Melbourne has some departmental Scholarships as well. The university also offers financial aid to international students.
Part-time work
International Students who wish to work must apply to the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs. In general, students should not expect to cover tuition fees or living expenses from part-time jobs. Holders of a student visa with work permit can work up to 20 hours per week while university programme is in session and full-time during university vacations.
