The School of Business Administration(SBA) of the People's University of Bangladesh(PUB) is designed to produce graduates to encounter the challenges of the twenty-first century. The main goal of the school is to provide students with 'Advanced practical expertise' in the area of business. This means students not only gain the practical knowledge but can experience necessary to face global competitive business and comparative analysis. They can also learn how to integrate and synthesize knowledge to develop innovative business system needed to set new global standards. Job oriented education is provided by the School. Moreover, the Business School has taken necessary steps for executive development program. Special concessions of fees for Executives and also for female students are given.

The BBA and the MBA program at the PUB is designed to give students a wide range of experience and knowledge. Moreover, the School has also designed one year Diploma program in Computer Application in Business. This computer application in Business course is very much fruitful for those who are interested to do job in the IT sector.

SBA of PUB offers three different types of MBA program for Executive (51 credits), Regular (66 credits) and BBA degree holder (36 credits). In the MBA program areas of major are: Finance, Banking, Trade & Diplomacy, Financial Economics, Human Resource Management, Industrial Management, Management Information System & also Hotel and Tourism Management.

The Course curricula of BBA consists of total Eight semesters and each semester is for six months. The major areas of concentration are Management, Banking and Insurance, Marketing, Business Economics, Finance, HRM, Accounting, Information technology, General. One hundred and twenty six credits are required to complete the BBA degree at PUB.In BBA program students have to go for Internship work for practical and Training experience.

Prof. Dr. Victoria Wise, Head, School of Accounting & Corporate Governance, The University of Tasmania , Australia is the Chief Academic Adviser of the School. Prof. Dr. Md. Mainul Islam, former Chairman, Dept. of Management of University of Dhaka is the Dean of the School while Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali is the Chairman of the School. Other than full time faculties, adjunct faculties including Eminent Academicians and Professionals are also taking classes in BBA and MBA programs. Renowned personalities like Prof. Dr. Abu Hossain Siddique, Treasurer, Jagannat University, Prof. Dr. Razia Begum, Dept. of Marketing, University of Dhaka, Mr. Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury, Chief Editor, BSS, Mr. Jamshed-uz-Zaman, Economic Adviser, Bangladesh Bank etc. Prof. Dr. Anisur Rahman, Dept. of Marketing , Dhaka University Prof. Dr. Faruque Ahmed, Dept. of Management, Dhaka University, Prof. Dr. Mujahidul Islam, Dept. of Banking, Dhaka University, Mr. Habibullah Bahar, Economic Adviser, Bangladesh Bank,Ms.Zulfia Asaf, Former Director ,Pan Pacific Sonorgaon Hotel etc . are also offering courses.

The School of Business has three different clubs- Debate club, Language club, Sports and Cultural club. Moreover, the business debate club of SBA, PUB organized the “Inter University Business Debate compatition-2006” held from 5th to 17th August 2006.

Center for Corporate governance and Corporate Social Responsibility was established in the school on 10th Janurary, 2007. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali is the Executive Director of the center.

We have also academic support services like rich Library facilities, computing, debating, and Language skill development programs. Regularly Cultural Programs, Seminars are organized by the School. The School's main motto is to create human capital and fulfill dream of the students through providing global standard education.
