Brian Charles Lara, the prince of world cricket, is going to bid good bye to all forms of International cricket. Lara came to the cricket world, played matches and won the Hall of Fame! Cricket lovers across the world would never forget his amazing power in playing shots that used to cross the field in the speed of a hurricane. And this hurricane in him thirst for runskept him display his own brand of a class that is , to an extent, magical. There had been hard times for the bowlling stalwarts of other teams to get him out --- Lara was merciless , ruthless in his pricision of batting of the balls with a perfect timing! Bowlers used to remain awe struck while Lara used to get them out of the boundary on a regular basis , and his ground shots are unique as they used to reach for the boundary line in a crispy speed--- you can only see that the ball is out there outside the line in no time!
Lara played 131 test matches scoring 11953 runs at an average 52.88 and his ODI matches 299 with 10405 runs at 40.48 averages. Lara scored 34 magnificent test centuries and 48.fifties in Test matches, and his ODI centuries are 19 with 63 fifties!
The Prince , considered to be the best cricketer of all time, has in his name the highest individual record (400) runs in test cricket and the highest individual innings in the first class cricket 501 not out! His double centuries are historical on their merit as he took his team West Indies out of the possible loss to a convincing and historic win he did so against Australia on several occasions! He played the part of a saviour for his team many times. This trait has placed him in such a position that the cricketing world will never forget the most outstanding crisis man in the history of the world cricket.
Brain Charles Lara is one of the greatest cricketrs that the world has produced so far and it is next to impossible for us to tell as to seeing another cricketer of his calibre in the future.
The rule of nature , as we put it that way, is that nobody stays long at his same stature there is the point of a slow decay. The inevitable about usthe mortal humans' limitations-- is the point that has repeatedly been lamented by the poets or the dreamers, that there is nothing permanent on this earth; everything is subject to decay. And under this inevitability we all humans have to live and act. And this very “Actions” that remain eternally to remind others of the performers--- they remain ageless and alive for the whole course of the humanilty.
Cheers dear PrinceLara, we'll never forget you --- you'll be living in your fans and the cricket lovers across the globe! Wish you all well and I take the previlige of inviting you to make a visit to our country Bangladesh --- there are scores of your fans here!
