A wicked look and the unnaturally pale face, head banging on stage getting swayed by the audience into the crowd and suddenly waking up in a field with passers by staring weirdly at him; sounds familiar? Yep. The commercial airing for the DRockstar2 has created a massive response among the viewers by now. It's the hunt for the ultimate rock band in the country. The DRockstar2 swung past Sylhet and is about to hit Chittagong city. Rumour has it that the judges do not seem too impressed with the performances of the 41-registered band from Sylhet, as they felt the key factor still missing. The audition rounds are becoming more intense as the comments from the judges hit the contestants like a spike.

"I think what the contestants should focus on is the sound throwing. It should be tight; as in the ending and starting should be more intense and catchy to hold the crowd throughout a performance," Says Fariba (BAMBA). “But from what we are seeing, the contestants are not taking the whole thing that seriously which is why the dedication and overall performance is falling below expectation. The quality of rendition from Rajshahi by far has been found to be the best; we've found an extraordinary vocalist amongst them, and we are looking forward to seeing more of her performance in the future."

Now as DRockstar approaches Chittagong where they got a good 100 registrations, their expectation rises. "It is indeed difficult to audition for 10 hours at a stretch, but we are enjoying every bit of it. We are expecting a good lot in Chittagong." Says Laura.

The judges are becoming more and more critical as the number of registration rises. So, as Dhaka stands out with 374 registered bands, the competition is bound to become more challenging.

The audition rounds for Dhaka will start from 22nd of May.

The back to back episodes of the audition rounds will be aired on Tuesday and Thursday at 7.50 pm on Channel-I and regular updates from Radio Foorti will keep the potential contestants of Dhaka from chewing their fingers off out of anticipation. So watch out as the D Rockstar2 hits your city!
