As another week rolls by, we see 18 bands poised for the performance rounds, which will see off 6 more. The judges have tightened their belts and are more critical and unyielding than ever; not a single flaw goes unpunished.

The performance rounds will have three judges: Shafin (Miles), Shumon(Orthohin), and Partho (Souls); with guest judges accompanying them every week. In this week's episode they had John (Black) and the next had Bappa (Dolchuut). Now lets take a trip down last week where the 9 bands rendered their best for the judges and the countrywide SMS voters.

Bortoman: The name of their song was "Majhi". The incorporation of the 'heya heya' sound made by majhis while rowing added an interesting twist in the composition. After their performance, the judges acknowledged the obvious improvements in the guitarist and the vocalists.

Equal: Their song's name was "Nijhum Lokaloy". But unfortunately there existed very little coordination amongst the band members, which is why the beginning and ending were what the judges termed 'Flawed'.

Dark: The band, all in black, dawned on the stage with their song "Elomelo" and swayed the audiences and practically awed the judges with their high-powered rendition. Even though the bass gaping and drum tempo was held nicely throughout, the judges found the pitch to be somewhat 'off'.

Off-street: With the song "Chai Bodlate Tomay", the vocalist maintained a high pitch throughout the performance and undoubtedly impressed the judges.

Border: The last band of the show on Tuesday held the audience aback with their outstanding composition " O Allahu" which stood out with their exquisite lyrics and well-orchestrated rendition. The young drummer Pavel, was once again praised for his impressive output.

Mechanix: Vigorous head banging and screams accompanied the heavy metal number "Kalo Brikhho" which was yet another amazing performance by Mechanix the opening band on the Thursday episode. The judges found the band to be extremely confident and praised their outlook. The guest band termed their rendition with the phrase "The power has reached infinity!"

ATR: The band performed a catchy mellow rock "Bangladesh" projecting a patriotic theme and maintained a good lyrical quality. Even though the band had to change their lead guitarist for unavoidable circumstances, the judges pointed out some audible flaws in the performance.

Dreek: Judges found their performance well balanced, although not without problems with the quantization of the guitar.

Cactus: With a great band spirit and touchy composition, Cactus might be the first band to have a standing drummer in Bangladesh; a style that readily impressed BAMBA. In the performance round their song " Stobdho Ei Mone" was well complemented by the organ and variations in the drums.

In the first episode the guest band was Dolchuut and the following episode had Souls closing the round.

Watch out for the next two performance episodes on Tuesday and Thursday on Channel-i showcasing the next 9 bands. But don't forget! The SMS voting will now start right from the starting of the show till 12.00 am of the following day. You can now listen to these bands and their performance in Radio Foorti after the airing of the episodes. So type the first three letters of your favourite band and send it to 3030 from any GP or Djuice number from the beginning of the show till 12.00 am the following day and join the ultimate talent hunt of the best rock band, The DRockstars.
