Certificate Awarding of "Partners in Learning Program" at Northern University Bangladesh

The Certificate distribution ceremony of the training "Partners in Learning" program was jointly organized by NUB and Microsoft Bangladesh Ltd, with recognition and permission of the Ministry of Education, GOB held yesterday at the business faculty auditorium at Dhanmondi. VC of NUB Prof. Dr. M. Shamsul Haque was present at the occasion as Chief Guest, where Prof.Dr. M. Azhar uddin , Dean Faculty of Business, presided over the ceremony. Ex education secretary and Adviser of IBAT Trust Khondokar Sahidul Islam, NUB Treasurer Prof. M. Abu Bakar Siddique, and Coordinator of "PIL" Program Md. Nazrul Islam were present as the special guests on the occasion.

Roundtable at Eastern University

A roundtable discussion on “Managing Current Price Situation in Bangladesh: Issues and Challenges' was held at Eastern University. Campus-2 (H#8/A, R#4, Dhanmondi R/A, Dhaka) on September 10, 2007 at 4.00pm. Prof Dr AKM Saiful Majid, Professor, IBA, University of Dhaka and Mr M A Syed Rahin Kabir, CEO, creative media ltd. were the keynote presenters. Prof Abu Ahmad, Professor, Department of Economics, University of Dhaka, Prof Dhaka Chamber of commerce and Industry (DCCI) were the designated discussants. After the presentation they discussed about the issues and gave their opinions. Prof Dr Rahim Talukdar, Vice Chancellor, Eastern University chaired the session.

CHPD organizes seminar at IUB

Dr. Mushtaque R. Chowdhury, Deputy Executive Director, BRAC and Dean, James P. Grant School of Public Health, BRAC university was the featured speaker at a seminar entitled "Tracking Progress in Health MDGs: Addressing Inequities" organized by the Centre for Health, Population and Development (CHPD) at Independent University, Bangladesh on Tuesday October 2nd, 2007 at the university's Baridhara campus. Professor Omar Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor, IUB and the Executive Director of CHPD, moderated the seminar, which was chaired by Professor Bazlul Mobin Chowdhury, VC of IUB. Dr. Tanvir A. Khan, Registrar IUB, delivered the formal votes of Thanks.
