The Mandolin

In the first half of the 20th century, mandolins enjoyed a period of great popularity in Europe and the Americas as an easier approach to playing string music. Many professional and amateur mandolin groups and orchestras were formed to play light classical string repertory.

Reliving History in the Summer Palace of Beijing

It was a beautiful mild summer Beijing morning on May 21, and having just returned after a brisk one hour long morning walk I woke up my friend Mukul and asked him to get ready for the 'eat you must' breakfast. Mukul finishes his morning walk in his room.
