From the Guestbook

It was a very pleasant and inspiring occasion. The initiatives displayed by teachers and students of Jahangirnagar University and also by their colleagues, both senior and junior, from other campuses, made their conference at once an enjoyable and academically satisfying affair.
-Prof. Kabir Chowdhury

“english4today” was a remarkable event in the history of JU's English Department--one that provided, among other things, a critical space for raising the still provocative and relevant question "whose English is it, anyway?"--and the conference brought together particularly young teachers and scholars of English who challenged and contested certain old ideas about both the supremacy and uselessness
- Dr. Azfar Hussain, Department of English, North South University.

“english 4 today” was such a wonderful conference where most luminous professors of English were honoured, young colleagues felt much elated and students, I am sure, could learn many great things. Two days events took place amidst lot of fanfare and festivity which have been remarkably characterized by thoughtful paper presentations, curious questions, professional discourse, golden reminiscences, exceptional poster presentations, sumptuous food, sensitive olunteers, and not the least bounteous greenery of the campus. It was a local conference with an international flavor and charms.

-Harunur Rashid Khan, Chairperson, Department of English, East West University.
