Battle of Minds kicks off

Star Campus Desk

In an increasingly competitive corporate world where wits, pace and patience counts for everything, the need to shape up early is essential. With few real life opportunities to get exposure to the corporate settings, business case competition and the like are a welcome source of learning for graduates of tomorrow. Battle of Minds; British American Tobacco Bangladesh's promise towards developing the nation's talent, is one such source of knowledge development. Building great minds for tomorrow is the ultimate objective of this competition. This is where students from various business and engineering schools come together with an aspiration to be noted amongst the best potential recruits of their time.

Battle of Minds is held every year in a unique setting where final year students are put through a series of rigorous challenges in the form of real life business cases which require them to deliver their best. Each year the wonderful pool of talent that participates in the event sets a new benchmark. Each year the competition also evolves accordingly, becoming more challenging than the previous. An event that started with five business schools from within Dhaka has grown into a full blown competition that covers 11 universities nationwide. As a result, keeping pace with the growing needs of the ever-changing corporate environment, the warriors of the Battle of Minds morph into their true potential becoming substantial corporate personalities.

This year's road show started at BRAC University. Most of the participants of Battle of Minds acknowledge their benefits from the competition. After all, it isn't everyday that one gets to be evaluated by business icons, civil society gurus or prominent media personalities of Bangladesh. There's also a grooming session that guarantees that each participant and his team are fully briefed on the depth of the situation and the need for serious feasibility of real life cases. The sheer level of exposure that this event generates has been sufficient to slingshot the careers of many young people to a fabulous launch.

With the workplace becoming increasingly global each day, employees are competing with colleagues from all over the world. What better way is there to prepare for such a race than to learn the basics from a setting that truly sets global standards for excellence!
