Shahjalal University Day Observed

THE Shahjalal University Day, commemorating the 18th founding anniversary of the institution, was observed amidst festivity on the campus.

Students, teachers as well as officials gathered at the registrar building premises in the morning. Vice-Chancellor Professor M Aminul Islam formally hoisted the national flag marking the inauguration of the 18th founding anniversary.

He thanked all and said, the university has achieved many milestones during its 18 years of journey. He also gave a detailed description of the development efforts of the public university in the last few years. He also sought co-operation from all concerned including the students and teachers for making the SUST a modern and model university in the country.

SUST Registrar Jamil Ahmed Chowdhury conducted the function while deans, professors and other senior officials were present. Earlier, a colourful procession was taken out on the campus with the VC and students, teachers and officials taking part. The whole campus looked colourful with flowers, festoons and banners all around to mark the founding anniversary.
