ON the 14th of June 2008, the first ever general meeting of the S.F.X. Greenherald Int'l School took place at the Sheraton Hotel. Various students from batches 1956 to 2008 were present and the event was honored with the presence of some of the first students of the school from the 1950s!. The organisational constitution was adopted and the Alumni Association was formed with Mishu Rahman as its president. Kazi Sarjil was chosen as Vice President, Syed Imran Ahmed as the General Secretary, Riyadh Hosssain as the Treasurer, and Rubayet Haider and Rumman Raihan as Directors.

Over the next two years , the association aims to register over 3000 members and to create a network of leaders and social contributors who will be recognized both in Bangladesh and worldwide, in due time.

To create an exciting beginning for the association the Alumni organized several events in 2008. The Summer Carnival in August '08 at the school premises SFX Greenherald Int School, Dhaka premises on August 1, 2008 and the invitees included all alumni along with students of classes VIII to X. One of the most important purposes of the Carnival was to allow the alumni to register themselves with the association officially by signing up their names and paying the membership fee. Day long concerts, Computerised style makeovers, Interactive Games booths, Food stalls, Fire spinning , raffle Draw, team sports and much more made the day very memorable.

Later during the year , Iftaar Parties, Movie shows, Charity Photo exhibitions, etc organized. The year was wrapped of with a stylish gala event - The Winter Ball. This was a Masquerade Ball held at the Radisson Hotel on the 25th of December 2008. Music by Southasian Superstar Shubho, Drockstar Niloy, and a six other bands were. Lavish Dinner Great Music and a chance to meet up with faces from the sunny school days .. the ambience was ecstatic.
