THE Azimur Rahman School of Engineering, Presidency University is committed to providing world-class education in engineering, currently in Civil, Electrical, Electronic, and Telecommunications engineering. With a vision to becoming a school of academic excellence, the Azimur Rahman School of Engineering aims to produce competent, confident and dedicated engineers who will be internationally employable. The specifically targeted curricula prepare graduates to compete in the high-tech job market on a global scale. The mission is to promote and nurture lifelong intellect and deep learning for career and personal development. The School aspires to imbue value consciousness with practical creativity in all graduates to generate new knowledge and discovery.

It is named after one of the media tycoons of Bangladesh, who was a superb institution builder, the founder chairman of Mediaworld Ltd. The engineering programs are designed to provide students with a foundation in mathematics, science, humanities, and management, with engineering applications. The goal is to enable the graduates to make significant contributions in their chosen fields while at the same time recognizing their responsibilities to society. The School emphasizes on teacher-student interactions, multimedia modes of teaching, and uses of software in learning materials. The academics are encouraging students on conceptual understanding, discouraging dependence on memorization.

All course curricula adopted by the Azimur Rahman School of Engineering have been officially designed by the professors of the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology

(BUET), formulated by following the requirements of the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET), USA, and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh. In the Azimur Rahman School of Engineering, reputed core and visiting faculty members exploits the excellent academic infrastructure systems with state-of-the-art computing & lab Facilities.

Faculties emphasize on theory as well as application of engineering knowledge with modern tools. Excellent student teacher interactions and faculty evaluation by students make the academic environment vibrant.

The Azimur Rahman School of Engineering has in-house laboratory facilities to offer testing and research facilities. The civil engineering laboratories provide comprehensive modern facilities for testing and research in structural, environmental, geotechnical, transportation, water resources engineering. The Electrical and Computer Engineering laboratories include Electrical Circuits Laboratory, Electrical Machines Laboratory, Electronics Laboratory, Communication Engineering Laboratory, Microprocessor Laboratory, VLSI Laboratory, Digital Signal Processing Laboratory, Control Engineering Laboratory. The mission of the laboratories is to provide effective solutions to a broad range of engineering problems. Experienced staff members use state-of the-art laboratory equipments to solve diverse engineering problems. The laboratories actively collaborate on research and teaching with other institutions and industries to support its mission.

The Azimur Rahman School of Engineering, Presidency University firmly believes that it will play an influential role in creating competent engineers and as a leading engineering education provider in Bangladesh and in the region.
