A noble step to help the underprivileged

Star Campus Desk

ASIAN Paints (Bangladesh) Ltd. and Stamford University Bangladesh jointly arranged a programme to distribute food and clothes among the unprivileged people at different locations of the city at the culmination of Rag Day, BBA, 28th batch of the university.

This was the first time ever in this country Asian Paints and students of Stamford University brought the core meaning of Rag Day. On that day the students saved their daily expenditure and sold their own rejected clothes to buy foods for those unprivileged people and also gave their fresh clothes to them.

This is a small initiative by Asian Paints (Bangladesh) Ltd and Stamford University Bangladesh to make a landmark and create awareness among those people/institutions who are interested to come up with the same idea. Marketing executive of Asian Paints said that there are 54 private universities, 25 public universities and 2 international universities, from these universities more than 5 lac students are passing out in a year. If all the students follow the way Stamford University done on their rag day then 5 lac poor people will have foods and clothes for a day. Simultaneously the students will also be able to accomplish a responsibility as vigilant citizens in the beginning of their new life.
