The participant companies of job fair are Rahimafrooz, Pran-Rfl Group, Energypac, Beximco Pharma, Prothom-alo jobs, Unique Group, Technology Today. Companies presented their organisation's profile and highlighted their recruitment policies and procedures in the seminar. 'CAD Drawing Contest' was an innovative idea of MEA. Enthusiastic students of MEA participated in this contest.

The second day morning session started with the official inauguration of the 'Mechanical Festival 2009'. Chief Guest of the programme VC of BUET Dr. A. M. M. Shafiullah and special guest Ex. Advisor to the caretaker government, BUET alumni M. A. Malek inaugurated the programme. Then they shared their views and thoughts with the students. Faculty Dean, Head of the Department and lecturers from MEA also gave some impressive speeches to the students.

A talk-show on 'Job prospect of Mechanical Engineers' was held where IEB President and Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam along with two BUET alumni MD of BBS Noman Haoladar and Syed Abu Sadath Md. Munir, manager of Rahimafrooz Batteries Ltd. shared their values and ideas.

The game show generated a lot of enthusiasm and amusement among the students. Faculty Dean, Head of the Department and lecturers of MEA distributed prizes and certificate among the winners of game show and CAD Drawing Contest.

Mechanical Department is the pioneer of the cultural festivals in BUET. MEA started the proceedings by dedicating festival to the victims of Aila. Then came the spell-binding MEA produced film 'Angels and Demons'. Bold direction, strong script and excellent acting made this movie a massive hit. The heart touching story of a household chores girl was depicted in the short film 'Chaitonno' which was directed by a 2nd year student. The main attraction cultural night was inaugurated by Director of student welfare Dr. Maglub Al Nur.

The stage drama 'Omar funny and Bashraful' was an instant hit among the spectators. Satirical Jatra performed by MEA, has been a model item of cultural festival in BUET and this year there was no difference as we staged 'Mughal-e-Azam'. The stature of the event was uplifted with emotions as the senior most batch'04 sang their farewell song 'Ei Bidaay'.

Annual Magazine of MEA 'Ojantrik' was also published on this occasion. 'Ojantrik' includes articles of teachers and students.

Though this festival was arranged for recreation, we did not forget the mass people of the country who are in distress, the Aila victims. A portion of the money collected from this programme will be donated for Aila victims with the help of Prothom-alo Bondhu Shova.

The whole programme was a great success because of the encouraging sponsorship of different companies. It can be called a programme of emotions, friendship, organisation, cultural awareness and above all humanity.
