Behind the Scenes of the Organisations of CUET

SINCE the first batch of CUET, which have started from 1969, its students have been continuing its activities with proper prevision and philanthropist nation building attitude. In spite of their continuous pressure in studies and practical sectionals and industrial attachments, the students of CUET have always indulged in various activities to keep themselves healthy both psychologically and environmentally. Joyoddhoney (only non-political cultural organization), CUETDS (CUET Debating Society). CUETFS (CUET Film Society), Green For Peace (CUET), Mechatronics Club, Photography and Art Club etc. such kind of organizations keep the campus up and going on occasions like inauguration ceremony, farewell of seniors, Pohela Boishakh and other national historical days and events through their active participation.

Every year, these clubs arrange Blood Donation Programmes, Debating programmes, Cultural functions, AIDS or other diseases awareness programmes with Chittagong Medical College, USTC, Premier University, IUC.

CUET-DS (Debating Society) is currently building a large library, which consists of books related to History, Politics, Economics, Culture, Literature and other subjects of study. Apart from the present and ex-members of the CUET-DS, the ex and present CUET students are also contributing. Alongside, anyone who wants to contribute for the library can contribute and his or her name will be enlisted in the directory of the library.

The Cultural activities of Joyoddhoney are like a rain of blessings after the classes, exams and practical-sessions. It truncates monotony, brings happiness and brings closer the members of CUET including teachers, officials, and their families. Everybody dresses up with colourful and fashionable outfits, some carry their musical instruments, and some sing songs or recite different things. You will find smiling faces everywhere.

'Nuevo Cinema Paradiso' is an Academy Award (OSCAR) Winning Italian Film and still today it is the best ever movie that I have seen and I watched it in our CUET auditorium in a film exhibition organized by CUET Film Society. There is no media stronger than film to express and describe something to the audience. Similarly CUET Film Society does its task well through their appropriate choice and aristocratic taste to send a message to its students. Through discussion and continuous participation of CUET FS the students of CUET's taste in films are improving everyday.

The Alumni of CUET ex-students always supports and works for the betterment of the CUET environment and contribute for it as well. It keeps the students connected and helps them to share common interests in history, achievement and moments in CUET.

May CUET and other institutions of Bangladesh grow with all kinds of positive activities and lead the country to be a better place to live.
