Onnesha Celebrated International Education Week November-2009

TO celebrate the International Education Week November 2009, Onnesha International School and College organized a two-day long programme in the school premises. On the first day, the students participated in debate, quiz, story telling and proved their talent in the different arenas.

On the second day, Shirin Monem Khan, the Chief Guest and the Chairperson of the school inaugurated the Science Fair. Students from junior and senior schools participated in the Science Fair and displayed their projects.

Some of the interesting projects of Science Fair were: Auto door bell, Fire Extinguisher, Solar-heater, Power-saver bridge and 'How solar energy becomes an alternative to electric energy' along with many other projects. The Chief Guest appreciated the performances of the students in her speech. She emphasized and encouraged the students to achieve different skills, which could help them to build up a good leadership in them in order to compete with the new world today.

Nasreen Monem Khan, Principal of the school conveyed the massages to the guests and students about observing the education week. That is the exchange of views and ideas among the students of the country with the outer world. It is a global challenge for the students. They can learn more than what is in theirs and become more practical through the extra curricular activities said the Principal in her speech. She also emphasized on practical education, which they can implement in their day-to-day life. The two-day long programme ended through the distribution of awards and certificates between the winner and participants in co-curricular activities and Science Fair.
