Annual Sports Day Organized By Holy Cross College

Holy Cross College organized their annual sports day in their college premises. The programme was inaugurated by Sister Marian Teresa; Principal of Holy Cross College. The competition was divided into two sessions. Both the sessions began with a colorful line up and a long march around the school grounds. Students from different grades took part in the sports programme. The principle distributed the prizes among the winners.


Scholastica Hosts Interschool
Debate Tournament

SCHOLASTICA School hosted its first ever Interschool English Debate Tournament that was held recently. Around 38 teams from 17 English medium schools throughout the city participated in this 3 daylong event. The event was organized by Scholastic Debate Club to observe International Mother Language Day. The event was inaugurated by its Convener, Adiba Naoshin Orni, a student of class XII of Scholastica.

After four rounds of intense heated debates, the debaters and adjudicators were enthralled to be a part of the much awaited Fire and Ice Break-Night Programme. This programme was meant to congratulate the debating teams which 'broke' through to the Quarterfinals.

The third day began with the QuarterfinalsScholastica, Mastermind, Aga Khan School and Academia went through to the Semi-finals. After putting up an immensely tough fight, Academia and Aga Khan made it to the finals, Scholastica and Mastermind having been left behind by a very narrow margin. The Final Round began with the motion: “This house would give Iran veto power in the Security Council”, and Academia secured the title of The Champions of the Tournament. Md. Taosif Amin Khan from the winning team was awarded 'The Best Speaker of the Final Round'

The event was concluded by an Award Giving Ceremony followed by a Cultural Program to commemorate International Mother Language Day. Madiha Murshed, the Deputy Managing Director and Head of Academics of Scholastica, was the Chief Guest.
