The University of Manchester Equity and Merit Scholarships
Equity and Merit Scholarships aim to assist talented but economically disadvantaged students from developing countries. The scholarships are fully funded by the Manchester University and its alumni. Professor Alan Gilbert, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Manchester passionately supports the scheme and comments.
Some of the support is in the form of scholarships that fund students to study in Manchester. Others take part in an e-learning programme that gives Masters students the chance to study from their home country using cutting-edge internet technology.
The university awarded the scholarships by working in partnership with British Council.
